Biaxin, also known as clarithromycin falls under the class of semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotics. It’s used to counter a range of respiratory and skin infections. It also compliments other drugs used in the cure of stomach ulcers caused by the bacteria Helicobacter Pylori.
